How Old Do I Have To Be?
In the state of Georgia, a person myst be 18 years of age or older to get tattooed without written parental/guardian consent. Minors, even with written consent, it is up discretion of the artist whether or not they feel comfortable tattooing/piercing the minor.
No piercings, other than ears, will be done on minors under the age of 14, with or without guardian consent.
After that, the piercing is at the discretion of the piercing artist, and we always reserve the right to refuse service. ‘Merica!
I AM UNDER 18, CAN AN OLDER SIBLING OR OTHER FAMILY MEMBER, OTHER THAN MY LEGAL GUARDIAN, SIGN FOR ME?
No. Nope. No way.
By law it MUST be your parent or legal guardian. If your legal guardian is an older sibling or other relative than your parents, please be prepared to bring the corresponding legal paperwork to prove guardianship.
Again, work done on minors is always at the discretion of the artist. We reserve the right to refuse service.
WHAT IS REQUIRED WHEN GETTING A TATTOO/PIERCING?
Your first born.
We need a state issued, photo identification for EVERYONE to get tattooed or pierced.
For minors, a school ID card will work but the parent/guardian must have a state issued ID.
WHAT IS YOUR DEPOSIT POLICY?
A $50 deposit is required for any and all appointments and custom artwork.
A $100 deposit is required for all-day appointments.
All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE and will stay on your account until used on services and/or merchandise. Failure to provide 24 hours notice, via phone or in person, to cancel your appointment WILL result in the loss of your deposit.
(Obviously, we don’t want you braving a frozen tundra or bring in the flu. Sudden illness or inclement weather are exceptions.)
SHOULD I EAT BEFORE GETTING A TATTOO/PIERCING?
Yes, you should always eat before getting any modification work. Make sure you have eaten a decent sized meal within an hour or two of getting work done. (For long sessions, perhaps even bring a snack to have on stand by.)
WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES FOR TATTOOS?
Tattoo prices are based hourly.
$50 is our shop minimum.
That said, know roughly what you want.
This includes knowing an approximate size that you want on your body when you call or come in to set up an appointment. Words like “small” or “medium” size are relative terms, and aren’t very helpful in judging the actual size a piece will be. Have actual measurement ideas, like 3 inches or credit card sized.
Have a reference or rough sketch of your idea. It doesn’t matter if you are not artistically gifted, it just helps us understand what you have in mind. It keeps us on the same page.
Break it up if you need to.
“Good tattoos aren’t cheap and cheap tattoo’s aren’t good”
Don’t settle for less than what you want because you don’t have the money for it that day. Tattoos can be done in sessions, down payments can be arranged, and we can also put your tattoo on your credit card.
Over-the-phone price estimates are always going to give you a very broad, generic price range.
The absolute BEST way to get an accurate estimate is to stop in one of our studios and speak with an artist with size and references if at all possible.
WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES FOR PIERCINGS
Our piercings are priced by the piercing location. There may also be an additional cost for jewelry as well. Give the shop a call for further details.
CAN I BRING IN MY OWN JEWELRY?
No. The state requires very specific grades of metal to be used for body piercing, and the jewelry must be autoclaved.
We are therefore required to use our jewelry alone.
DO YOU USE A PIERCING GUN FOR PIERCINGS?
No. We are licensed professionals who offer more precise and reliable methods of piercing.
(Piercing guns are never a good call. “Here’s why…”)
CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN WITH ME?
Aw, we love children.
But our store is not childproof, and sometimes neither are our clients.
Our facilities are clean and friendly, they are an ADULT ENVIRONMENT. Children are not banned, but we STRONGLY REQUEST that you make arrangements for your children. It’s more fun for everyone involved that way.
Everybody, minors included, must have state (adult) or school (minor) issued ID. Its the law.
Congratulations! Babies rock!
But, according to state law, you cannot be tattooed or pierced while pregnant.
(Except service animals, of course. We’re not jerks.)
Cash or credit only, please.
*issued ID to be pierced or tattooed.
